Our Story
Larkspur Events was born from an unexpected crossroads—between science and storytelling, structure and imagination. Founder Zarah O’Holleran earned a master’s degree in toxicology, spending years studying the complexities of biology and the unseen mechanisms that shape our world. But somewhere between the lab bench and late nights raising three wild, beautiful boys, a different kind of calling emerged: a desire to create wonder, connection, and joy through unforgettable experiences.
What began as a way to plan meaningful, budget-conscious weddings and celebrations grew into something far more enchanted. With every centerpiece placed and timeline fine-tuned, Zarah realized she wasn’t just organizing events—she was building stories, memories, and magic.
That realization gave rise to the Fantasy Festival of Cheyenne, a living, breathing celebration of imagination and community. Rooted in the idea that everyone deserves to live their internal life externally, the festival invites guests to explore quests, costumes, riddles, and enchanted moments that bring joy and belonging to people of all ages. It’s more than a fairytale—it’s a movement to restore wonder, foster creativity, and build community through the power of storytelling.
At her side is Katrina Johnson, founder of Blast from the Past Events, a dance master, DJ, choreographer, and creative powerhouse. With a gift for performance and a passion for immersive entertainment, Katrina brings rhythm and flair to every event. Together, Zarah and Katrina have built a partnership grounded in trust, collaboration, and a shared dream of enhancing the community through meaningful, magical experiences.
