The Magic Mirror
The Lore of the Magic Mirror
Long before the Fairy Queen held court…
Before the quests.
Before the enchantment that binds this realm…
There was a masquerade.
In a grand manor of marble floors and crystal chandeliers, a powerful sorcerer hosted a lavish masked ball. Nobles, mystics, fae, and dreamers gathered beneath golden light. Velvet cloaks brushed polished floors. Laughter rang beneath painted ceilings.
The sorcerer, proud and brilliant, wished to astonish his guests.
He had been creating a new spell - one not merely to charm, but to enthrall.
He believed he could weave reflection and illusion together - a glamour so exquisite that every guest would see not only themselves, but the very best version of who they could become.
At the height of the evening, he unveiled his masterpiece:
A towering mirror framed in carved gold and stardust.
He began the incantation.
The chandeliers flickered.
The air tightened.
The music slowed.
Then. . .

A blast of light!
Pure power.
The ballroom exploded in brilliance.
When the light faded…
The guests were gone.
The manor was reduced to rubble.
And the sorcerer… was nowhere to be found.
All that remained was the mirror - grown into a magic willow tree in an enchanted wood.
But those who dare stand before it sometimes hear a voice.
Soft. Curious. Amused.
For the sorcerer was not destroyed.
He was entrapped.
Bound within the glass he had enchanted.
Now he watches.
Now he whispers.
Now he waits for worthy dreamers.
And so the Magic Mirror was born.
The Potions Apothecary
At the edge of the village, where garden fences give way to wandering roots and shadowed trees, stands a small cottage wrapped in ivy and woodsmoke. Lantern light glows warmly through the windows at dusk, and bundles of drying herbs sway gently beneath the eaves. Drawn by the scent of earth, tea, and simmering remedies, guests are invited to step inside the Potions Apothecary - a quiet cottage nestled between the cultivated world and the untamed forest beyond.

The apothecary is warm, welcoming, and full of curious things to explore, much like stumbling into a storybook cottage deep in the woods. Shelves hold rows of jars filled with roots, petals, powders, and tinctures gathered with patience and care. A sturdy wooden table bears the marks of constant use: mortar and pestle, worn spoons, glowing vials, scales, and a blackened kettle that never seems to cool completely. Her grimoire rests nearby, its pages filled with careful notes about herbs, healing, and remedies gathered through seasons of listening and learning.

Guests are encouraged to wander the space freely, discovering hidden details tucked among the shelves and worktables like curious visitors in a fairytale cottage. The Potions Apothecary is not a place of grand spectacle or dangerous magic, but one of warmth, wisdom, and quiet wonder. Here, healing is practiced as a patient craft, and every object - from the hanging herbs overhead to the bubbling cauldron by the hearth - tells the story of a hedge witch who lives gently alongside the forest and shares its gifts with those who enter her home.
The Armory
The Fairy Vale exists between worlds.
It lies in the shifting spaces where dimensions brush against one another — a timeless realm suspended between countless realities. Some worlds pass by unseen. Others drift dangerously close. And when the boundaries thin, crossings become possible.
The fae have always guarded these places of overlap.
The Fairy Vale itself is eternal: untouched by age, endlessly renewing, ancient beyond memory yet constantly reforming with the tides between realms. Its forests bloom and fade in cycles unknown to mortal lands. Rivers alter their course overnight. Pathways appear only to vanish again beneath silver mist. Though ever-changing, the Vale remains whole.
Within their own realm, the fae live in peace.
But the worlds beyond the overlap do not.
The fae have witnessed empires rise and collapse across thousands of realities. They have seen the birth of kingdoms, the forging of weapons, the spread of machines, and the devastation caused by unchecked ambition. Because of this, they stand constantly prepared to defend the Vale against incursions from hostile realms.
The crossings are unpredictable. Dangerous things sometimes emerge without warning.
For this reason, the Armory must remain ready at all times.
The fae do not impose foreign technologies upon other worlds, nor do they reveal more knowledge than a realm is prepared to wield. Instead, they fight as each realm fights — blade against blade, arrow against arrow, magic against magic. They believe balance must be preserved between worlds.
Thus the Armory contains weapons and defenses gathered across countless ages and dimensions: ancient steel, enchanted relics, forgotten designs, and tools suited for conflicts both old and new.
Though graceful and beautiful, the fae are neither fragile nor naïve.
They are ancient guardians of the threshold between realities — fierce in battle, unwavering in loyalty, and utterly relentless when defending the Fairy Vale and those under their protection.

Help Rose Red recover her lost rosebuds, return wandering bees to the Dandelion Fairy, find lily pads for the Frog Prince, complete the Princess's treasure hunt, solve the Riddle Cascade quests, and discover the many secrets hidden throughout the festival.
