Our Story
Born from a shared passion for immersive storytelling, artistic collaboration, and community celebration, the Fantasy Festival  began as a dream between two creatives—Zarah O’Holleran of Larkspur Events and Katrina Johnson of Blast from the Past Events. With roots in science and a heart that longed for magic, Zarah traded in a career in toxicology to pursue event planning full time. Her goal: to create spaces where the magic we feel inside can finally live out loud.

Together, we envisioned a festival where people of all ages could step into the worlds they’ve only read about, danced through in dreams, or imagined as children. From glittering costumes and elaborate quests to handcrafted artisan markets and theatrical performances, the Front Range Fantasy Festival  was designed to bring a little more wonder to the world.

Our Mission
We believe everyone deserves to live their internal life externally. Whether it’s dressing as a knight, mixing a potion, solving riddles, or dancing with the Fairy Queen, we want to create an event that reminds people—young and old—that magic still exists, especially in community. Our long-term goal is to grow the Fantasy Festival into a regional destination, expand programming to include educational workshops and artist residencies, and eventually open a year-round event space that blends nature, storytelling, and conservation.

The Journey Begins: Grimm Brothers Launch Event
Before the enchantment arrives in Cheyenne in 2026, we’re conjuring a taste of the festival with a launch event hosted by Grimm Brothers Brewhouse at The Forge Event Center in Loveland, Colorado.

📅 Launch Event Timeline – Saturday, September 20, 2025

• 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Fantasy Market
  Family-friendly fun with over 30 artisan vendors, whimsical performances, interactive quests, and magical merchandise.

• 8:00 PM – Midnight: Evening Fantasy Ball
  A 21+ immersive experience featuring a fantasy storyline, costumed actors, enchanting music, and dancing beneath the stars. Guests will solve riddles, unlock secrets, and help a familiar fairy tale heroine rewrite her fate.

This launch event is our invitation to you—to step into our world, share your imagination, and help us build something truly extraordinary. Whether you come for the Market or the Ball (or both!), we promise an experience unlike any other.
